The Gentle Cleanse

This method has been tried and tested on thousands of clients with remarkable results. It is a very gentle way to achieve a cleaner system. You can still work effectively without too much disruption from side effects.

Time Frame

A gentle cleanse can be done in 7 days minimum, but can be undertaken for up to 28 days. You will be required to drink 4 litres of water each day so there is a continuous flushing of the body.

  • 1L water before breakfast
  • 1L water before lunch
  • 1L water before dinner
  • 1L water before bed
  • 2 herbal teas daily (Try dandelion root, burdock, tumeric or ginger)
  • 1hr brisk walking daily
  • Use of skin brush daily
  • Aim for 2 bowel motions daily
  • 3 saunas a week (if possible)

Meals

Try to set consistent times for meals. Stop drinking 15 minutes prior to eating and wait 1 hour after meals to resume your water intake.

Breakfast

1/2 cup cooked brown rice
1 banana
Small handful sultanas
1 dessertspoon seeds (linseed, sunflower or sesame)
2 tablespoons natural yoghurt
Cinnamon

Place rice in a bowl. Add sultanas and seeds, spoon on yoghurt. Slice banana on top then sprinkle with cinnamon. You may change the fresh and dried fruits for variety, but the other ingredients must remain.

Lunch

1/2 cup cooked brown rice
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 dessertspoon soy mayonnaise
Any salad leaves and vegetables you desire
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Fresh herbs, chilli and green ginger

Place rice and chopped salad items, herbs, chilli and grated ginger in a bowl. Mix oil, vinegar and mayonnaise together and pour over salad.

Dinner

1/2 cup cooked brown rice
Any and all vegetables
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon tamari (organic soybean sauce)
Fresh herbs, garlic
Cayenne pepper

Heat oil in a pan and add chopped vegetables, herbs and garlic. Saute for 5 minutes. Add the rice and drizzle the tamari. Allow to steam for 1 minute. Add cayenne pepper to taste.

Finish your gentle cleanse, then start adding soft white cheeses (cottage, quark, fetta), eggs and fish to your meals.
