By booking a program at Kangaroo Island Health Retreat, you accept the following terms and conditions.
General
Kangaroo Island Health Retreat is open to adults aged 18-59 years only.
Programs can be booked and paid for securely online.
Places are strictly limited and subject to availability.
All pricing is displayed in Australian dollars and includes GST.
Pricing is subject to change without notice.
Payments & Fees
Deposit
A minimum deposit of $1500 per person is payable at the time of booking to secure your place at Kangaroo Island Health Retreat. Dates cannot be held without a deposit.
Final Payment / Balance
An invoice for the balance of payment and link to pay securely online or by direct deposit will be emailed 30 days before your program start date. The balance of payment is due at least 14 days before arrival. Failure to pay on time may result in the cancellation of your booking and loss of deposit.
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Payments made by EFT (also known as Direct Deposit) do not incur a surcharge. Any payment made by EFT may take up to three (3) business days to process. If you are paying by this method, you will need to transfer payment at least three business days prior to the actual due date. You must also email a transaction receipt to [email protected] once payment has been made.
Credit Card
Credit card merchant fees apply. All credit and debit card payments made to Kangaroo Island Health Retreat will incur a 1.9% non-refundable credit card service fee.
Changes & Cancellations
An administration fee of $50 applies to all cancellations or amendments after a booking has been made. In addition to the administration fee, if you need to cancel or postpone your program, the following penalties apply:
- A fee of $300 per person if cancelling or postponing 15-30 days before your program start date, unless we can fill your spot from a waiting list, in which case this fee will not apply.
- Loss of deposit ($1500 per person) if cancelling or postponing 5-14 days before your program start date, unless we can fill your spot from a waiting list, in which case this fee will not apply.
- Loss of 100% of program fees (no refund) if cancelling or postponing within 4 days of your program start date or after your program has commenced. At this late notice, we are unable to fill your vacant spot.
Other Terms
Refusal
Kangaroo Island Health Retreat reserves the right to refuse any persons with specific health conditions such as illicit drug use, anorexia nervosa, contagious viruses or a BMI over 35.
Our detoxification programs are only suitable for adults aged 18-59 years in accordance with WFI, our insurer. There can be no exceptions to this rule. Kangaroo Island Health Retreat reserves the right to request proof of age documentation prior to arrival and will automatically cancel any booking that does not comply with our age limit.
Medication / Medical Conditions
It is advisable to consult a Medical Practitioner regarding general wellbeing before visiting any health retreat. If you have a specific medical and/or a physical disability, it is your responsibility to check first with your Medical Practitioner to confirm it is suitable for you to travel and participate in the services applicable to our program. Kangaroo Island Health Retreat is in no way responsible for the medication or medical condition of any participating guests.
Travel Insurance
Comprehensive Travel Insurance is highly recommended when travelling within Australia and overseas. It is important to purchase the correct travel insurance policy for your requirements so you are adequately covered, and to inform the insurance provider of any pre-existing medical conditions.
Before you arrive
It is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with all information that is necessary or desirable to know in order to prepare adequately, participate fully and gain the maximum benefit from our program, and to undertake travel to Kangaroo Island generally.
We strongly recommend you reduce or cease the consumption of sugar, alcohol, tobacco and caffeine prior to your arrival. It is our experience that your stay with us will be much more rewarding if you are able to remove these substances before undertaking our program.
Liability
This liability clause is subject to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you may have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).
Liabilities for acts, omissions or defaults, whether negligent or otherwise, of airlines, car rental operators, ferry companies, hoteliers, transfer and transport companies, or any other service supplier is beyond the control of Kangaroo Island Health Retreat.
We disclaim any liability for any consequential loss, including loss of enjoyment or amenity.
Under circumstances where our liability cannot be excluded or may be lawfully limited, such liability is limited to the remedies required of us under applicable law (including Australian Consumer Law).
Definitions
“We”, “Us” and “the Retreat” means Kangaroo Island Health Retreat and where context permits, its employees or agents.
“You” means a person who makes a booking for a Program promoted by us on this website, or elsewhere.
“Program” means our Dynamic Detox or Dynamic Couple products which include accommodation, activities, meals, education and guidance.
